Deep Down & Dirty
It’s been almost a decade in the making: surely even the new single from Stereo MC’s could not possibly be worth the wait?
It’s been almost a decade in the making: surely even the new single from Stereo MC’s could not possibly be worth the wait? And while ‘Deep Down & Dirty’ will obviously suffer due to the fact that it took so bloody long to arrive (only My Bloody Valentine can compete in the what-the-fuck-is-going-on stakes), it remains a great song. The title gives a bit too much away, though: the scratchy FX and rumbling bass taking the listener deep into the basement, where they find themselves at a sordid, late-night knees-up that is the stuff (wet) dreams are made of. I like it.
