COUNTDOWN TO METROPOLIS: Giorgio Moroder to be publicly interviewed on Sunday
No synth-pop stone will be left unturned as Stuart Clark asks him about his remarkable career!
Not content with performing at Dublin’s new urban music festival, Sunday November 8 also finds synth-pop pioneer Giorgio Moroder discussing his remarkable career with Hot Press’ Stuart Clark as part of the Metropolis spoken word offering.
Having collaborated with everyone from Donna Summer, David Bowie and Daft Punk to Britney Spears, Alan Parker and Kylie, there will be lots to talk about when he takes to the RDS stage at 3.45pm.
Having made his UK chart debut as co-author of Chicory Tip’s 1972 glam stomper ‘Son Of My Father’, the Italian five-years later changed the face of electronic music with his Donna Summer hook-up, ‘I Feel Love’.
This year’s star-studded Déjà Vu album, the one with Britney on it, confirms that he’s still as big a studio whiz as he’s ever been.
