CC Brez announces date for Academy 2

Cc Brez has announced he'll hit the Academy 2 in May.
The former Republic of Loose man released his first solo album, The Nightfall, last month - an album with "a smouldering blues and soul groove, reminiscent of ’80s Prince", according to our man Eamonn Seoige - and his live appearances, from last years Electric Picnic stint to an incendiary album launch in Whelan's, has shown it only gains potency on the live stage.
Good reason, then, to pop May 28 in the diary, as he brings his eight-piece band to the Middle Abbey Street venue. Tickets, priced at €13.50, are on sale now.
