Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty are Infanticipating
Twitter is a remarkable maching. Following a simple tweet, the world knows that the Beverley Hills based reality TV host Cat Deeley and her comedian husband are expecting a baby!
British TV star Cat Deeley has announced that she and Irish comedian Patrick Kielty are expecting their first child together.
Deeley, the So You Think You Can Dance presenter, publicised the news via her Twitter account on Thursday night.
"Exciting news,” she tweeted. "Paddy and I are so happy to be expecting our first child in the spring. Lucky us."
Originally from West Bromwich in the English midlands, Deeley began her high profile career hosting the children’s programme, SMTV Live. Having conquered the UK, she moved to the US, where she has also been hugely successful. There, she – for her work on So You Think You Can Dance – has been nominated four times for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or a Reality-Competition programme.
Patrick Kielty – who played Electric Picnic in 2013 – is one of Ireland’s most successful ever comedians and TV presenters. He presented the Hot Press Awards on BBC Northern Ireland in 2002, alongside Christine Bleakley. Over the years, he has presented Celebrity Love Island, Comic Relief does Fame Academy and Sports Relief (with Fearne Cotton). In addition to his work in stand-up and as a presenter, he is a shareholder in a successful TV production company, Green Inc. Film and Television.
The were couple married in Rome in September 2012 .
