Buena Vista Social Club to play Irish date

They're set to perform in the Olympia on June 19. Tickets priced €44.20 go on sale this Saturday.

Made up of veteran Cuban musicians from the pre-revolutionary days re-discovered by American guitarist Ry Cooder, BVSC came to worldwide prominence in the late 90s thanks to Wim Wenders' documentary film of the group, featuring performances in Amsterdam and New York and interviews in Havana.
