Brendan Shine done for DUI in the UK
Irish cabaret legend Brendan Shine has received a one-year ban after pleading guilty to drink-driving in the UK.
The 57-year-old was stopped and breathalyzed by police on March 19 as he drove back to his hotel from a charity gig in Wigan, Greater Manchester.
After also ordering him to pay £670 in fines and costs, magistrate Mary Griffin told Shine: "It was a short distance you drove. You have shown remorse and co-operated with the courts and the police during these proceedings."

Although it’s been a good few years since he last troubled the Irish charts with the likes of ‘Do You Want Your Old Lobby Washed Down Sunshine?’, Shine remains a popular club performer all over the world.
