Bill Withers Documentary Set For Sugar Club
Still Bill kickstarts a series of music doc screenings in Dublin and Cork
The critically acclaimed, intimate portrait of soul legend Bill Withers, the man behind hits such as 'Ain’t No Sunshine' and 'Lean On Me', will be screened in the Sugar Club on September 30. It will be the first in a series, launched by new music promotions company Fresh & Noble, which aims to showcase new, rarely screened music documentaries spanning the genres.
Other screenings planned include Nina Simone: La Legende, to be shown at the Cork Jazz Festival on October 25, and Favela Blast, the directorial film debut from Grammy-nominated DJ and producer, Diplo, documenting the vibrant and innovative musical subculture of Brazil's slums.
Each screening will be followed by DJs or live bands, selected to compliment each film.
Still Bill will show at 8pm, September 30 at The Sugar Club, Dublin. Entry is €7.50 with support music acts to be announced.
