Batman and Superman square off in new trailer

Hype for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been massive, especially given that most people haven't seen anything from the actual movie and it's still about a year from release. It goes to show the strength of the concept, particularly for the modern audience and its insatiable appetite for superhero flicks. Now, though, we have our first official look at the motion picture in motion, and we can conclude it will do little to lessen the anticipation.

Featuring minimal footage of both lead characters and an eventual stare-down between them, it's every fanboys dream come true. And we're willing to forgive the fact that Ben Affleck's Batman in his armored suit looks an awful lot like Lego Batman from last year's Lego Movie. Those who tore Affleck apart after he was chosen to play the iconic hero can expect to eat their words; from what we see in the trailer, he looks more than up to the part.

Featuring Henry Cavill as Superman and appearances from Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Jason Momoa as Aquaman, the film hits screens in March 2016.
