B-52s to visit Vicar St **UPDATED 3 Apr** show cancelled
No need to "roam around the world" to see the B-52s as they bring their party-staple sounds to Ireland this summer.
The band will play the Dublin venue on June 28 with tickets going on sale this Thursday March 30 at 9am.
The B-52s have also been busy working on a much anticipated new album to be released sometime in 2006, following their collection Nude on the Moon: the B-52's Anthology, released in 2002.
With a reputation for live shows that are as fun as their music, there's no doubt that this performance will be unique - with guitarist Keith Strickland musing that "the underlying message of the B-52s is it's okay to be different," we would expect nothing less.
**UPDATE** The show has now been cancelled, though sliver lining is that it's due to recording commitments so fans can expect to hear new material in the forthcoming months!
