Antonia Campbell-Hughes stars in new Irish short
He’s been M.I.A. for seven years but Pigs and Korea director Cathal Black is back with Butterfly, a crowd-funded 36-minute film starring Antonia Campbell-Hughes and Denis Conway.
“Leonard, a lonely probation officer, estranged from his wife, is faced with the difficult task of writing a report on Teri, a young, hot-tempered graphic designer who has convictions for minor theft,” reads the blurb.
Meanwhile, Braveheart, Veronica Guerin and The Constant Gardener man Gerard McSorley is the star turn in another Irish short, An Irish Father, that’s looking to fundrazr.com for its seed money.
“The overall aim of An Irish Father is to bring attention to mental health in Ireland,” director Carl Finnegan says. “This is your chance to get involved in socially responsible filmmaking telling a story of the heart. We have many perks to reward our supporters. Please help us make this project a reality.”
Go to it folks!
