Catch the live-streamed set tonight on the Hot Press Instagram!
Waterford wunderkind Alex Gough has been announced as our latest act on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions, brought to you by Grace O'Malley Whiskey – with a live DJ set kicking off on the Hot Press Instagram at 19.30 GMT tonight, March 19.
In the face of coronavirus restrictions and the resulting gig cancellations, thousands of musicians and concertgoers across the country have been left disappointed. That's why we're delighted to launch the Lockdown Sessions – bringing you live performances of your favourite Irish artists from the safety and comfort of your home.
Throughout the series, our star-studded line-up will be taking over the Hot Press Instagram account (@hotpressmagazine), and live-streaming performances directly to you – wherever you might be!
This evening, prepare for a stellar set from one of the most exciting young artists in the country. Tipped as one of the country's hottest prospects, Alex Gough's unique, genre-blending approach to both recording and performing has won him phenomenal acclaim over the last 12 months. Following the release of his 80% EP, the rapper/drummer/producer's fanbase continues to expand rapidly.
We encourage everyone who enjoys Alex Gough's performance this evening to support him through this extremely difficult time for musicians by purchasing a digital copy of his 80% EP from Bandcamp, for just €5.
Watch Alex Gough's live DJ set at 19.30 GMT tonight, March 19 – live from the Hot Press Instagram.
