Aftermath

Looks like you really are only as good as your last record. REM’s stock has tumbled of late, the fact that they have produced an astounding body of work over the years all but forgotten. Sadly ‘Aftermath’ isn’t going to reverse the slide, thanks to the fact that it just isn’t very interesting. REM have been many things in the past, but dull doesn’t suit them.
