Acoustic Junction EP

The island of saints and scholars has of late been transformed into a land awash with singer-songwriters. To my ears at any rate this lot sound way more talented than the Songs From A Room crowd. Cellar Club’s ‘Josephine’ is an exquisitely performed low-key ballad, Chiara Browne’s voice on ‘Still Waiting’ would melt the hardest of hearts while Sean Needham’s lyrical skills are well in evidence on ‘Give Praise’. The Guggenheim Grotto (featuring Kevin May and Mick Lynch) are a tad darker in approach but all the better for it. Go see them live!
