There’s something fascinatingly independent, out-of-focus and unfashionable about The Tansads, in spite of the fact that they use a trance-house like backing track at times on ‘A Band On The Rainbow’. Very English and also very honest with their politics well sussed, ‘A Band On The Rainbow’ is a wistful yet resilient recollection of the emptiness of wise old saws that are supposed to put us all on the right path but really just lead us up a cul-de-sac while the real issues are ignored and side-stepped.
