"Possible narcotics and paraphernalia"

The cause of death of the Godfather of Punk Dee Dee Ramone (real name Douglas Colvin) has been certified as an accidental heroin overdose this week by a Los Angeles coroners' office.

Ramone, who was found dead at his Hollywood apartment on June 5th, had a long history of heroin abuse. According to the report, Ramone’s wife found him lying face down on the couch in their home.

Police reports at the time stated that a syringe was recovered and that "possible narcotics and paraphernalia were lying on a table in front of the couch".
