David Jordan is the first artist lined up by mobile operators 3 to participate in a special series of free Hive Live gigs.
The gigs were announced today by Tom Dunne, presenter of 3’s mobile music TV show The Hive. The Hive Live gigs will take place in various venues around the country in association with 3, with the first one lined up for May 27 in Whelan’s.
The 21-year-old David Jordan, who counts Amy Winehouse among his friends since his teenage years, release the second single ‘Move On’ from his debut album Set The Mood on the May 12.
“We’ve been working with Universal to give music fans access to some really great acts in intimate venues. David Riley, Head of Entertainment at 3 said: "Kicking off 3’s Hive Live with David Jordan is going to be quite the treat as he is such a talented guy.
"As well as the 3 Hive Live gigs, we’ve also cut the prices on our music downloads to only €1.49 and you can get a bundle of 3 for €3.99 with no added download charges. This means we are beating all the other networks by offering the most competitive mobile music downloading rates.

All 3 Hive Live gigs will be free and people can apply for tickets through the ‘Hive Live’ Facebook event.
