Hot Press Writers for Literary Festival
The Write By The Sea Festival will take place this weekend 28 to 30 September in Kilmore Quay, Co. Wexford.
Hot Press contributor Jackie Hayden has been invited to officially open the Write By The Sea 2018 literary festival in Kilmore Quay in Co Wexford over the coming weekend. Hayden will also be conducting interviews with Sheila Llewellyn, who's recent novel Walking Wounded, has garnered a huge amount of critical praise both here and in the UK, and Jennifer Johnston, who has been described by Roddy Doyle as Ireland's finest writer.
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Eleanor McEvoy, who had her illustrated lyric book Naked Music published by Hot Press, will deliver a workshop entitled Song Lyrics, Serious Literature or Throwaway Pop?
Former Hot Press contributor, novelist and musician Peter Murphy will bring proceedings to a close under his music moniker Cursed Murphy, and use the occasion to launch his new single ‘Foxhole Prayer’.
Also on the programme for Write By The Sea 2018 are John Banville, Kit de Waal, Rob Doyle, Billy Roche, Cath Staincliffe, Rick O’Shea, Liam Gaul and Cat Hogan.
