Gary Barlow, Ronan Keating and more to play Concert4Cancer this year
The live show for charity raised €500,000 for cancer services in Ireland last year.
This year, the charity show Concert4Cancer is returning to our television screens as the Marie Keating Foundation seeks to raise more money for vital cancer support services.
Taking place on Virgin Media One on August 27, it will be looking to build on the success of last year’s televised special, which raised over €500,000.
Gary Barlow and Ronan Keating will share a special duet on the night, with Aslan, The Riptide Movement, and Emma Langford among the Irish and UK acts also performing.
"We are so excited to be back this year and what an amazing show we have in store," enthused Ronan in a press release.
"A diverse mix of musical genres, international household names, amazing Irish talent and some fab special guest appearances too – it’s the perfect show for the whole family to enjoy a night in together.
“We really want the public to get behind us again and dig deep if they can, to ensure that the Foundation can continue to support as many men and women as possible through this really challenging time."
The Marie Keating Foundation was founded by the solo artist and former member of Boyzone after his mother passed away from cancer in 1998.
"My family and I are so proud of all the team at the Foundation and what they do every day in our Mam’s name.
We hope that this show will bring families across Ireland together for a night of great TV, amazing music and some really powerful stories and most importantly, raise funds for this amazing charity and those they support."
Concert4Cancer will take place on Virgin Media One on August 27 at 9 pm.
