The Bohemian Football Club has extended their Christy Dignam tribute jersey fundraiser
With proceeds going towards St. Francis Hospice, the tribute jersey to Aslan singer Christy Dignam will be available for purchase for an extra 24hr hours.
Last week, after the renowned singer Christy Dignam passed from a battle with a rare blood disorder at 65, the League of Ireland's Bohemians were determined to honour him by donning special edition Aslan jerseys made in his memory at a game with the Shamrock Football Club this past Friday.
After the derby game (which ended in a 2-2 draw), the jersey was also available to order online as part of a fundraiser for St. Francis Hospice, although pre-sale was meant to have a "strict" close at midnight on Sunday. Now, it's come out that the deadline for the fundraiser has been extended an extra 24 hours, to "give supporters one final chance to purchase."
Christy Dignam's daughter, Kiera Dignam, performed during the game's halftime, stunning the audience with a beautiful rendition of Aslan's 1994 song, 'Crazy World.'

Afterwards, she posted photos from the event and thanked everyone who had made a purchase. Over socials, she even shared that an "unbelievable" amount of over €100,000 had already been fundraised for the hospice.
Additionally, she threw out thanks to the Bohemians and Des Kelly Interiors for their use of the Aslan logo "in their place for the match," and the Shamrock Rovers for "getting involved too and helping with collections."
