WATCH: Netflix releases Stranger Things season 5 part 2 trailer
This is the final season of the decade-long running series.
Netflix has released the season five, part two trailer for Stranger Things.
Part one of the fifth and final season of the Duffer Brothers Emmy-winning series premiered late last month with four episodes, with part two set to release on St. Stephen's Day. The finale will air on New Years day.
"The fall of 1987," reads the press release. "Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding.
"As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time."
All familiar series favourites appear in the teaser, with Millie Bobbie Brown, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery and Donegal actor Amybeth McNulty gearing up for their final performances in the nearly decade-long running series.
