Virgin Media Television announces new season schedule filled with new and returning series
"It is Irish voices and Irish stories which are to the fore in VMTV's new season schedule."
Virgin Media Television has announced its new season filled with more Irish drama, more gripping documentaries, The Super Bowl and brand new series. Ireland's number one free streaming service Virgin Media Player, and home to the most streamed show in the country, Love Island, will be reloaded.
"2022 has been a stand-out year for Virgin Media Television, delivering record streaming figures, record growth in younger viewers for Virgin Media Two and the launch of our second new television channel this year, Virgin Media Four. It is Irish voices and Irish stories which are to the fore in VMTV's new season schedule," says Bill Malone, Director of Content at VMTV.
The schedule includes world-class Irish drama, including new commissions The Vanishing Triangle, Faithless, Holding, Ridley, Witness No. 3, and The Suspect.
Original Irish documentaries and true crime series Until Death, A Dublin Murder, Six Bullets Fired, The Fall of Bomber Kavanagh, The Guards, Inside the Hospice, and Garth Brooks: Coming Home will have viewers on the edge of their seats.
Other new series include: How to Buy A Home, Lucy Investigates, Dylan McGrath's Secret Service, Second Chance Bootcamp and The Clinic For Well People. Returning series include Gogglebox Ireland, The Restaurant, Eating with the Enemy, The Group Chat.
VMTV will continue to be home to some of the biggest sporting events, like American Football games and the Super Bowl for the first time. Viewers will see the return of top class football including UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Europa Conference League. Additionally, the UEFA Nations league, UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifiers, the best of UK racing and the Guinness Six Nations.
