Thaddea Graham to be honoured at 2027 Oscar Wilde Awards, with Shobsy performing at the ceremony
Graham will be honoured with the Wilde Card Award at the Oscar Wilde Awards on March 11, 2027 in Los Angeles.
The US-Ireland Alliance has announced that Northern Irish actress Thaddea Graham is set to be honoured at the Oscar Wilde Awards on March 11, 2027, at the Ebell of Los Angeles. She will receive the Wilde Card Award, while Irish singer Shobsy will perform during the ceremony.
Irish-American actor Jack Reynor will also be honoured at the ceremony. Past recipients of the award include Barry Keoghan and Saoirse Ronan.
Graham, originally from Co. Down, began her career in 2014 in the short film Painkiller. She is known for her roles in Sex Education, Bad Sisters, and The Irregulars. She recently starred in the Apple TV series, Margo's Got Money Troubles, alongside Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer.
In 2025, she acted in Luca Guadagnino's, After The Hunt, a psychological thriller starring Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield and Ayo Edebiri. She will appear in Guadagnino's upcoming film, Artificial, along with fellow Irish actor Chris O'Dowd. The movie follows OpenAI CEO Sam Altman as he is fired and subsequently rehired by the company. It will be released in Ireland on January 22, 2027.
US-Ireland Alliance president Trina Vargo praised Graham in a statement.
"We look forward to honoring Thaddea with our Wilde Card Award, which is presented to someone we expect you’ll hear a lot more from."
Dublin-based singer Shobsy will perform during the Oscar Wilde Awards ceremony. Other Irish artists that have played at the event include Dave Lofts, Dermot Kennedy, and The Coronas.
He released his latest EP, The World Will Not Remember, in October. He completed a UK and European tour in 2025, and was one of several musicians to perform at an Irish music showcase hosted by President Catherine Connolly at Áras an Uachtaráin in July.
The US-Ireland Alliance is a non-profit organisation dedicated to consolidating existing relations between the US and Ireland.
The Oscar Wilde award honours the contributions and achievements of Irish talent - and those who support Irish culture - in film, television and music. The ceremony takes place during the build-up to the Oscars.
