Jack Reynor to be honoured with Oscar Wilde Award
The award comes as production on Drew Hancock's Ireland-shot horror film Seasons is also currently underway, starring Reynor and Lily James.
The US-Ireland Alliance has announced Jack Reynor as its first honouree for the annual Oscar Wilde Awards, which will be held on March 11, 2027 at The Ebell of Los Angeles.
The US-Ireland Alliance is a non-profit organisation dedicated to consolidating existing relations between the US and Ireland.
The Oscar Wilde award honours the contributions and achievements of Irish talent - and those who support Irish culture - in film, television and music. The ceremony takes place during the build-up to the Oscars.
This year's recipients included Domhnall Gleeson, Lee Cronin, Maura Tierney, Dave Lofts and Dermot Kennedy.
The Irish-American actor, who currently lives in Dublin, most recently starred in Lee Cronin's The Mummy. He also starred in the second season of Prime Video's spy drama Citadel, alongside Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Stanley Tucci.
Citadel marks Reynor's second collaboration with the Russo brothers and AGBO, having appeared in their film Cherry alongside Tom Holland. He also appeared with Nick Jonas and Paul Rudd in John Carney's musical comedy Power Ballad.
"I remember first seeing Jack in Lenny Abrahamson's What Richard Did, in 2012 - it seemed obvious that he was just at the beginning of a long career," said US-Ireland Alliance president, Trina Vargo. "We look forward to honouring him in March."
The actor has steadily been building his credits, with critically-acclaimed performances in projects such as Ari Aster's Midsommar and John Carney's Sing Street. He also gained global recognition as the star of Michael Bay's Transformers: Age of Extinction, which grossed more than $1 billion worldwide.
Reynor can next be seen in the second season of Apple TV+'s Presumed Innocent, a legal anthology series inspired by Jo Murray's 2026 novel, Dissection of a Murderer. He stars opposite Rachel Brosnahan.
The award comes as production on Drew Hancock's Ireland-shot horror film Seasons is also currently underway, starring Reynor and Lily James.
