Jack Reynor to star in horror film Seasons
Production is set to start in September and will shoot in Ireland.
Jack Reynor will star alongside Lily James in Drew Hancock’s upcoming horror film, Seasons.
Formerly known as My Wife and I Bought a Ranch, Seasons is based on a short story by Matt and Harrison Query, which first appeared on Reddit and was later adapted into a full-length novel.
The film “follows a husband and wife who buy a ranch, only to discover the land is alive with ancient spirits, where survival means submitting to increasingly disturbing rituals with each turn of the season,” according to the official synopsis.
Hancock, the filmmaker behind Companion, is directing from his own script for Amazon MGM Studios. Production is set to start in September and will shoot in Ireland.
Seasons marks the third collaboration between 21 Laps and Blumhouse Atomic Monster, who most recently produced A24’s Backrooms.
American-born Irish actor Reynor is known for his parts in Ari Aster’s Midsommar and indie musical comedy, Sing Street, among others.
Coming off his recent role in Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, Reynor is set to star in the second season of Apple’s legal thriller Presumed Innocent. He was also recently seen alongside Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas in Power Ballad, John Carney’s musical comedy, which premiered at the Dublin International Film Festival in March.
The film does not yet have a release date.
