The Talking Heads film, Stop Making Sense, is making a return to The Ambassador Theatre Dublin. The film had a twenty week run in the venue during the '80s, and is set to grace the big screen once more on Friday November 1. Restored and remastered forty years on from its release, the film is now presented by A24.
Stop Making Sense has had successful reruns recently, with showings in the Lighthouse Cinema and Palás. Renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs), captured the band at their peak of popularity in Hollywood's Pantages Theatre 1983, with frontman David Bynre's choreography and the band's chemistry at the forefront.
