Nicola Coughlan to host SNL UK next week
The live show will air on Saturday April 25.
Nicola Coughlan has been announced to host Saturday Night Live UK on April 25.
Musical support for the evening will come from the Foo Fighters.
Coughlan, fresh off the buzz of the latest season of Bridgerton released in February, will be SNL UK's 5th ever host since the show premiered last month. The United States version of the live sketch comedy series has aired for over 50 years.
The Galway actress is also known for her roles on Derry Girls and Big Mood, which's second season premieres tomorrow. In February, she completed a run as Pegeen in London West End's revival of The Playboy Of The Western World, alongside Éanna Hardwicke and Siobhan McSweeney.
Recent SNL UK hosts include Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed, and most recently, Jack Whitehall. Following Coughlan's performance, Sex Education actress Aimee Lou Wood will host the show on May 2.
The show is currently on a brief hiatus, and will return to live broadcast from London via Sky and Now TV on April 25 at 10pm.
