Die My Love coming to Irish cinemas in November
The film, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, will premiere at the BFI London Film Festival before its theatrical release across the UK and Ireland.
MUBI has announced the official UK and Ireland theatrical release date for Die My Love, the latest film from director Lynne Ramsay.
The film will open in cinemas on November 7, following its UK premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 17.
Die My Love had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year and features a cast including Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson.
The film is adapted from Ariana Harwicz’s novel of the same name. Tony Award-winning Irish playwright Enda Walsh co-wrote the screenplay alongside Ramsay and screenwriter Alice Birch.
Set in rural America, the story follows Grace and Jackson, a couple who relocate from New York to a countryside home inherited by Grace’s family. As they adjust to life with a newborn in isolation, Grace’s sense of self begins to unravel. Her transformation is marked not by weakness but by imagination and resilience, painting a portrait of a woman navigating the edge of love and madness.
“At the heart of this story is the complexity of love and how it can change and transform over time,” said Ramsay. “I aimed to keep it grounded, human, spontaneous and funny at times, capturing the moments that feel small but carry a lot of weight.”
Ramsay’s previous work includes We Need to Talk About Kevin, Morvern Callar, and You Were Never Really Here. Her films have been recognised at international festivals, including Cannes, Venice, and BAFTA.
Die My Love will be released in cinemas across Ireland on November 7.
