Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are teaming up to provide the score for David Fincher's new film The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, marking their sixth collaboration with the director.

Reznor and Ross' involvement was revealed when Netflix debuted the official poster for the film on its social media accounts. The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth will be released exclusively to IMAX on November 25 for two weeks before it becomes available to stream on Netflix on December 23.

The duo first worked with Fincher on 2010's The Social Network, winning the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Score.

They continued to provide music for all of Fincher's subsequent films, such as The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl, Mank and The Killer. In 2013, they won the Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for visual media for Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

Outside of their work with Fincher, Reznor and Ross have composed the scores for numerous other films, including Patriots Day, Soul, Bird Box and Queer.

Most recently, the pair won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score for Challengers in 2025, and earned a Grammy nomination earlier this year for one of its tracks from the Tron: Ares soundtrack, credited as Nine Inch Nails.

The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth is a spin-off of 2019's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, focusing on Brad Pitt's title character. The film, written by Quentin Tarantino, is set eight years after the events of Hollywood and features an ensemble cast with Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Timothy Olyphant and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Meanwhile, Nine Inch Nails released a new album in April titled Nine Inch Noize, featuring reworked catalogue tracks and new material made alongside electronic producer Boys Noize and Mariqueen Maandig Reznor, following a live debut at Coachella.

Also, earlier this year, the band wrapped up their Peel It Back tour across North America.
