Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross cover David Bowie's 'Life On Mars' for Watchmen soundtrack
The composer duo share another track from the upcoming Volume 3 of their Watchmen soundtrack.
Nine Inch Nails frontman turned film and TV score composer Trent Reznor reunited with long-time collaborator Atticus Ross again to create the soundtrack for the new Watchmen series. With two of the three parts of the soundtrack already released, the duo now share a cover of David Bowie's 'Life On Mars' as part of Volume 3.
The haunting instrumental version of 'Life On Mars' was featured in episode 7 of the series, 'An Almost Religious Awe'. Take a listen:
It's not the first time Trent Reznor has covered a Bowie song. During their first concert in three years in 2017, Nine Inch Nails paid tribute to their late friend and hero with a rendition of 'I Can't Give Everything Away'. The band also opened for the music legend on his 1995 Outside Tour and Reznor collaborated with Bowie on his 1997 album Earthling.
Following the release of 'The Way It Used To Be', the Bowie cover is the second song to be revealed from Volume 3 of the Watchmen soundtrack. The complete record is set to be released on December 16.
