RTÉ announces TV premiere of Irish film Suit Hung. Tied Tongue this Friday
The film stars Alex Eydt and Paul St. Leger in their breakout roles as brothers Sean and Freddie Halpin.
Suit Hung. Tied Tongue, an Irish indie thriller film, will have its TV premiere on RTÉ One this Friday, November 6 at 11:15 p.m. It will air straight after the Late Late Show.
The film has enjoyed positive attention following private showings across Ireland, including for its treatment of controversial topics like extremism and violence, and for the performances of breakout actors Paul St. Leger and Alex Eydt.
The plotline follows brothers Sean and Freddie as they become increasingly radicalised following their mother's death. They begin to commit violent crimes, leading to national outrage and support.
Suit Hung. Tied Tongue won Best Feature Film at the Underground Film Festival. The festival's director called it "a masterclass in Guerrilla filmmaking".
It was filmed on a low budget in Finglas, Malahide, the Liberties and the Dublin Mountains.
"I wanted it to be a hard hitting film and for the audience, love it or hate it, to think about it and discuss it days later", said writer and director Sau Dachi.
