Meeting Mr & Mrs Wright

There we were visiting one of our favourite American lifestyle magazines, Vice, when a familiar face leapt off the screen. It was none other than top hack of this parish, Eamon Sweeney, in full gig-going party mode. How this vision of deranged loveliness made its way across the Atlantic we don’t know, but you can see Flamin’ Eamon in all of his glory at www.viceland.com/index_us.php
The feelgood factor continues at www.themarriage.co.uk, an alarmingly professional site celebrating the nuptials of Scott Wright and Helen Copeland. Along with a truly remarkable/disturbing graphic of the London Eye where our Scott proposed, there’s a “thank you” to Marks & Spencers on account of them meeting there for the first time when they were temporary staff for the Christmas period.
“I still remember the first time I met her,” Scott trills. “I said the words ‘Can you please fill up the bags on my till’ as I was serving customers, and needed the carrier bags replacing. So I guess we should both be grateful that we started working at Marks & Spencers (Holmbush Store in Shoreham).”
The site has become such a phenomenon that Mr. Wright has had to remove the reception maps. You can still go on honeymoon with them, though – they’re staying at the idyllic Couples Ochos Rios Hotel in Nude Beach, Jamaica for two weeks.
All this lovey doveyness reminds us of a great line that Marilyn Manson came up with a while back in hotpress. Asked whether he had a romantic bone in his body, the God of Fuck replied, “Yes, it’s between my legs.”
