Lewis Capaldi snags number one, Dermot Kennedy holds his own in Irish Charts
Christy Moore's Magic Nights takes a spot just above Hozier.
This week's official Irish Albums Chart sees Dermot Kennedy in the top ten not once, but twice. Without Fear makes it into the top three in its 17th week on the charts, while the compilation of his early singles Dermot Kennedy sits comfortably in the tenth slot.
In Hot Press' review of the Dubliner's stellar debut album, Lucy O'Toole notes, "despite having demonstrated that album sales no longer equate to superstardom...Kennedy has gone the extra mile, by presenting one of the finest debut albums of the year."
Elsewhere in the Album Charts, Billie Eilish's When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? climbs once again to the top 5. Lewis Capaldi's Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent has swapped places with Eminem's Music To Get Murdered By, debuting at number one. Hozier's eponymous debut album enters an astounding 279th week charting, surpassed by the likes of Fleetwood Mac's Rumors and Bob Marley and the Wailers' Legend.
Meanwhile on the official Singles Chart, the Weeknd 80's disco-tinged bop "Blinding Lights" climbs to number one. Niall Horan's "Nice To Meet Ya" gains on Lewis Capaldi's "Bruises," and "Someone You Loved" enters its 63rd week.
