And so it continues. Conrad Gallagher, one of the most gifted chefs this island has ever produced, is in the news again this week for decidedly non-gustatory reasons. Currently in a New York prison as a result of theft charges back in Ireland and a subsequent missed court date - all of which, Gallagher says, involves a misunderstanding and is explainable - he has now apparently opted to return to Ireland, to face whatever music might need to be faced.
