UPDATE: Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions add Dublin show
Ms. Sandoval is also lined up to appear on the new Massive Attack album.
Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions have extended their Irish tour and now play the Roisin Dubh, Galway (October 29); Cyprus Avenue, Cork (30); and Vicar St., Dublin (31).
Featuring the aforementioned Mazzy Star singer and My Bloody Valentine’s Colm O Ó Cíosóig, they’ve a new album, Through The Devil Softly, ready to go in September which was partially recorded in Wicklow.
It’s also been confirmed that Sandoval will appear alongside Damon Albarn, TV On The Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe and Martina Topley-Bird on the forthcoming Massive Attack LP. Even more fascinatingly, there’s said to be “major songwriting input” from Elbow’s Guy Garvey.
Originally due in September to coincide with the Wild Bunch’s Irish and UK tour, there’s now talk of it being pushed back until early in the New Year. We’ll keep you posted!
