The Pigeon Detectives have been forced to cancel their upcoming shows in Dublin and Belfast as their lead singer injured his leg at a UK gig.
The Pigeon Detectives have cancelled their Dublin Ambassador and Belfast Mandela Hall shows – due to take place on May 13 and 14 – after singer Matt Bowman injured himself on Sunday at the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend in Maidstone.
“Matt badly injured his leg during the fourth song, but continued to leap off the stage and scissor kick into the air off the drum-kit until he collapsed,” explains a spokesman. “He managed to finish the set before being taken to hospital where they initially wanted to operate immediately, however after further advice he was transferred to Leeds where he’s currently being treated.”
