Shane Filan signs solo deal with Universal
Work commences on his album after Westlife's final tour.
Shane Filan has jumped ship from the label Westlife have been with for 14 years, Sony, and signed a solo deal with Universal.
He’s expected to start work on a solo album as soon as the band complete their farewell tour.
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old’s financial woes continue with his property company, Shafin Developments, going into receivership. Estimates of their debts has ranged between from €4 million to €20 million. Their main creditor is Ulster Bank who helped finance projects in Leitrim and Sligo, some of which never went ahead.
