Pugwash team up with Neil Hannon and Matt Berry for charity
Their Jimmy Ruffin cover will feature on an album in aid of the Simon Community.
Neil Hannon, Pugwash and Matt Berry of The IT Crowd fame have recorded a killer version of Jimmy Ruffin’s ‘What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted’, which was given its first public airing a few moments ago on Today FM by Tony Fenton.
Very much the sum of its perfect pop parts, it’s among the classic tunes that features on the Dublin Simon Community-aiding The Shortest Night album.
Out in a month’s time, it features additional contributions from Jape, Villagers, Bipolar Empire, Mick Pyro, The Pale, Propeller Palms and Solar Taxi plus a mass rendition of Ben E. King’s ‘Stand By Me’. The Summer Solstice launch party takes place on June 21 in the Dublin Button Factory.
