Lá Ceoil hits Dublin this June
It's all part of a global music celebration.
June 21 is International Music Day and to celebrate Music Network, in association with RTÉ lyric fm, presents Lá Ceoil, a free event taking place under the love: live music banner.
Taking place in Temple Bar’s Meeting House Square from 6pm to 10pm, you’ll be able to feast on Buffalo In The Castle, We Banjo 3, The Unwanted, Tarab, Mick O’Brien, members of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and DIT Traditional Music Ensemble, and special guest Seán Mac Erlaine.
There’s also the world premiere of a new work by lyric fm composer-in-residence Linda Buckley, which she describes as, “a meeting of sound worlds, reflecting the diverse cross-genre influences within my own work, from Irish traditional to contemporary classical and electronic.”
