Dr. John & The Lower 911 for Vicar St.
The good doc is over this summer...
Dr. John & The Lower 911 have confirmed a July 24 visit to Vicar St., tickets for which are €40 and go on sale on Monday May 14.
One of the world’s greatest living bluesmen – with a bit of jazz, funk ‘n’ swamp rock thrown in for good measure – The Artist Also Known As Mac Rebennack will be plugging his new Locked Down album.
The collection is produced by The Black Keys’ Dan Auberech who enthuses: “He inspired me every single day we were in the studio together – musically, spiritually, cosmically... something special seemed to be happening and everyone involved could sense it. For my money, Mac's one of the greatest who ever was and who ever will be...I'm so honoured to have had this opportunity to work with him.”
We’re sensing they had an alright time together!
