Could it be Maverick?
Messiah J & The Expert and Captain Moonlight have some competition in the credible Irish hip hop stakes with the emergence of teen rapper Maverick Sabre.
Yup, hotpress.com is very taken with ‘Lonely Side Of Life’, one of five tracks that can be found on myspace.com/mavericksabre.
The 18-year-old rhymer in question was born in the Hackney area of London, but moved to Wexford whilst still a nipper. Influenced, so he says, by The Beatles, Tupac Shakur and Bob Dylan, Maverick Sabre has spent two years assembling his own songs, which have earned him Urban Takeover and Me! Orange Unsigned award nominations.
