Opening the weekend will be the highly anticipated Irish premier of Abyssinian swing group Éthiopiques featuring Mahmoud Ahmed, Mulatu Astatke, Alemayehu Eshete & The Either/Orchestra, who will play the Pavillion theatre on Friday August 22.
Also performing at the festival will be Tibetan singer Yungchen Lhamo, Brooklyn hip-hop get-up Balkan Beat Box and Parisian Arab rockers Orchestre National De Barbes.
The Festival of World Cultures will take place in various venues in Dun Laoghaire from August 22-24.
