Music Ireland takes place in the RDS, Dublin on October 5, 6 and 7. There's an amazing line-up of top acts, workshops, panel discussions, seminars and exhibitions, with more events being confirmed all the time.

PRINCE'S DRUMMER CONFIRMED FOR MUSIC IRELAND
For lovers of rhythym, this year's Music Ireland sees legendary dummer John Blackwell will give a special performance on October 6. Best known for his time touring with Prince, Blackwell now tours with Justin Timberlake. For full details click here

DOLORES O'RIORDAN FOR SONGWRITING WORKSHOP
Dolores O’Riordan is the latest high profile addition to line-up, with the Cranberries singer due to take part in Sunday’s all-star 1pm Songwriting Workshop alongside John Spillane, Brian Kennedy and The Blizzards’ Niall Breslin. For full details click here

iPOD TOUCH TO DEBUT AT MUSIC IRELAND
Apple's new iPod Touch MP3 player will be making its Irish debut at Music Ireland. The new player uses the 'multi-touch' interface first seen on the iPhone and also features Wi-Fi internet access, full web browsing capabilities and a 3.5 inch widescreen display for viewing videos. GEOFF TRAVIS - PUBLIC INTERVIEW
The man who signed The Smiths, Arcade Fire, The Libertines and The Strokes (to name but a few!) to his Rough Trade label, Geoff Travis makes a special performance at the RDS on October 7. And Travis is just one of many industry legends joining us over the weekend. MOVIE DIRECTOR SHIMMY MARCUS JOINS DISCUSSION PANEL
Up-and-coming Irish director Shimmy Marcus will join a panel discussion on 'Music In Movies, TV & Advertising' on Saturday October 6 at 4pm. Marcus won the Miramax Script Writing Award in 1999 and has directed a host of films, documentaries and music videos. For full details click here

BRIAN MASTERSON ADDED TO LINE-UP
Renowned Irish recording engineer and producer Brian Masterson has been added to the line-up for this year's Music Ireland. Brian will participate alongside Smiths producer Stephen Street in a 3pm panel discussion entitled "Are Producers The Real Superstars?" For full details click here

2FM BOSS JOHN CLARKE TO APPEAR
John Clarke, the head of 2FM, is the latest figure pencilled in to make an appearance at the RDS this October. Clarke, who is one of the most influential individuals in the industry here, will take part in the panel discussion 'Who Writes The Playlists - And Are Irish Artists Getting A Fair Deal?'. He's joined in this debate by Louis Walsh, among others. For full details click here

U2 ARTWORK MAKES EUROPEAN DEBUT
U2 fans take note: Stealing Hearts At A Travelling Show will appear at Music Ireland '07. This is the first time this unmissable exhibition has been shown in Europe, so be sure to check it out. The exhibition will feature the designs that shaped the band for 25 years and the designers will also present an intimate Q & A session in the Red room on Saturday October 6. RADIO NOVA LEGEND CONFIRMED
The Irish broadcast industry will be interested - and perhaps a little apprehensive! - to learn that former Radio Nova boss Chris Cary has been added to the line-up for Music Ireland '07. PADDY CASEY AMONG TOP ACTS FOR LIVE STAGE
Paddy Casey is just one of a host of the nation's finest acts at the Sennheiser Live Stage for two days of great live music. Fresh from releasing his Addicted To Company album this month, Paddy plays a set on Saturday evening, and will be joined over the weekend by The Frank & Walters, The Walls, The Flaws, Neosupervital, Royseven, Dirty Epics, The Kinetiks and Messiah J & The Expert, with lots more yet to be announced. YOU'RE NEVER TOO GOOD TO GET BETTER - SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS
Learn from the best with a wide range of workshops and master classes from some of Ireland's finest musicians, and some others from further afield. The workshops on offer include 'How To Get A Kick-Ass Recording' by the Bodytonic Crew, master classes in drumming by Bobby Arechiga (in association with Meinl Cymbals) and Conor Guilfoyle, and a finger-style guitar master class with Jacques Stotzem (in assocation with Fishman Transducers & Martin Guitars). MUSIC IRELAND HOSTS SCHOOLS DAY
After the rip-roaring success of last year's event, Music Ireland '07 has been extended to a three-day event, incorporating a dedicated student day on Friday October 5. Aimed primarily at second-level schools, the day is set to be one of the most educational and entertaining school tours in the country. The same tickets at the door will cost €10 and €5 respectively, while a family ticket can also be purchased, giving access for two adults and up to four children for €25.
