Philip Glass set for Dundalk show
One of the world’s leading contemporary composers, Philip Glass, will perform a selection of his solo piano music in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dundalk this week.
The BAFTA-winning musician, renowned for his work on The Hours and Oscar nominated for Notes on a Scandal, will perform in St Patrick’s Cathedral on Thursday, July 17.
As one of the world’s most influential and innovative composers, Glass has changed the face of contemporary classical music and attracted a legion fans from the jazz, rock and pop worlds. Described by The Daily Telegraph as "the most powerful composer of our time”, his music is regularly heard in New York’s Carnegie Hall and The Barbican in London, in the record collections of David Bowie and Paul Simon fans, and in cinemas throughout the world.
