Version brings reggae to Belfast
Explosion Sound System and Michael McKeown of Hydroponic Music are to spearhead Version, Belfast's biggest reggae event, this July.
Following a storming debut appearance back in May, Belfast’s reggae collective return to the stage of The Empire Music Hall on July 5.
Now in its fifth year, Version caters for lovers of classic reggae sounds, from dub to dancehall and rocksteady to ska.
Local reggae aficionados Explosion Sound System will perform alongside a decks and effects set from Michael McKeown (Hydroponic Music), then it's a battle of the sexes as MC Krow and MC Kat perform a vocal duel, featuring live African drumming.
Previous appearances at Version have included Trojan Records, Blood and Fire Sound System and The Rootsman.
Tickets, £7, are available on the door.
