John Waters performs at Vicar Street
He doesn’t play an instrument but he is a pop culture giant, so we think it’s only right we tell you that John Waters is bringing his new one-man show to Dublin’s Vicar St. this September.
Waters' one-man show, titled, This Filthy World, arrives at Vicar St. on September 17. Tickets are €33.60.
Described as “a rapid-fire, spoken word Vaudeville act”, it finds the cult director holding forth on everything from true crime and Catholicism to sexual deviancy and a love of reading.
Ask nicely and he might also tell you about the making of Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, Polyester, Serial Mom, Hairspray and the other films that prompted William Burroughs to describe him as ‘The Pop of Trash’.
