Sharon Shannon to play The Academy

The intimate gig follows the success of Sharon's album, The Galway Girl – The Best of Sharon Shannon, which reached No.1 in the Irish charts in May, a first for the Clare native. Her hit single 'Galway Girl' with Mundy, remained at No.1 for a staggering 6 weeks and won a Meteor award for most downloaded single of 2007.
