Californian indie experimentalists Xiu Xiu have announced a date in the capital.

They'll be playing Whelan's on May 22, in support of their recently-released Women As Lovers opus.

Along with a generous helping of righteous avant-garde noise, the album also features an inspired cover of that old Bowie/Queen chestnut 'Under Pressure'.
