Clonmel Song Contest seeks entries
The fifth annual Clonmel Song Contest is now looking for applicants to share in its prize fund of €4000.
The winner of Tipperary’s annual Clonmel Song Contest will receive €2500, with two runners-up getting €1000 and €500 each. Each prize-winner will also get an engraved Tipperary Crystal trophy.
The competition is open to all songwriters who may enter one song with original music and lyrics.
Entries can be made on CD or cassette tape, and must be submitted along with a typewritten copy of the lyrics.
The closing date for entries this year is August 31st, and the grand final will take place on November 2 at the White Memorial Theatre, Wolf Tone Street, Clonmel.
