A host of top bands, DJs and music-makers will descend on Dublin in June as part of the second annual BudRising festival.

Taking place in various city centre venues from June 1 to 7, the initial line-up promises some top quality musical fare.

Big names in smaller venues is the name of the game, with appearances from the likes Echo & The Bunnymen, Weezer, Beck and house music maestros Masters At Work.

In a new addition to the BudRising, this year's program will feature the EarlyRiser stage at Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, which will offer a platform for emerging talent and offer city workers some free lunchtime entertainment (every day but Saturday at 1pm). The BudRising Festival Club will provide a base for the festival action at the POD complex on Harcourt St. Kicking off at 6pm daily and with free admission, it will feature a free barbequee, DJs and bands.

Tickets are on sale now from Ticketmaster and if Weezer's track record is anything to go by - selling out Vicar St. in under 5 minutes – you'd best get out your diaries and wallets and start making some choices...
