Métisse beam out on US television
Cork band Métisse have had one of their songs chosen to soundtrack a new TV series in the US
In another major coup for the Cork-based duo, Métisse have been recruited by former Police drummer Stuart Copeland to provide music for the hit US TV series, Dead Like Me.
Coming from the same stable as Buffy The Vampire Slayer, it means that Aida and Skully are moving ever closer to the Hollywood A-List.
“We’re thrilled with the reaction,” Aida enthuses. “Every time an episode appears in the States our website gets flooded by visitors.”
Adds Skully: “It’s a nice buzz to have all of this happening in the States at the moment. We’ve been stuck away in our own little world, finishing the album, and just as we’re about to stick our heads up for air we start getting this encouraging feedback.”
Described as “a classic coming of age story…with a dark twist”, the MGM show is due to make it across here in the spring.
